haywoodwaterwaysHaywood County Geologic Stability Mapping Project is underway to produce landslide companion maps for heavy rain events. This project is RCDlogopaid for by private and nonprofit funds and will cover the Jonathan Creek and Richland Creek watersheds in Haywood County. It is a collaboration between public and private stakeholders, the Southwestern NC Resource Conservation and Development Council, the Haywood Waterways Association, and ALC. The landslide inventory is scheduled to be completed the summer of 2013. The potential landslide source areas and pathways will be completed within the following year.
